Personal Training: Optimal fitness and wellness
Looking to get fitter and healthier but not sure where to start?  Tried everything and not yet found what works for you?

With this service we will look at all areas of your life (sleep, stress, food, current movement, how well you move) and create sessions that suit your lifestyle, to get you the results you desire. Optimal health goes beyond exercise and food by encompassing all the big rocks in your life. You’ll get to where you want to be and be the healthiest version of you.

Pregnancy fitness and wellness
Would you like to keep active during your pregnancy, but not sure what exercises are safe to do?
With this service you will train safely and be given nutrition advice to suit each stage of your pregnancy. Each session you will be guided through movements that will help alleviate any discomfort you experience as your body changes and baby grows. We then look at strengthening the body to prepare for labour, birth and the demands that becoming a mum brings. Picking up baby, pushing a pushchair, carrying a car seat etc. We’ll also start work on pelvic floor muscle training.
NOTE: Suitable from 12 weeks gestation.

Post Natal fitness and wellness
LThe focus with this service is on restorative movement and breathwork to aid your body in its recovery after childbirth and create strong foundations for mum life. We will check that your abdominal muscles are healing well and establish good pelvic floor and core connection. From there we will know the best way to start incorporating functional strength movements safely. You will also receive nutrition advice to aid the process.
NOTE: Suitable from 6 weeks after vaginal delivery and 12 weeks after caesarean section and onwards, once you have given birth for the first time you are always post-natal!

Peri to Post Menopause
Have you been noticing hormonal changes in your body? Is what you used to do no longer working?

With this service you will learn about what happens to your hormones and body as you transition through peri to post menopause. Topics include: hormones, metabolism, heart, bone, brain, pelvic, and breast health, nutrition and stress management. We will look at all aspects of your life and address any areas that can cause non ideal symptoms. You will be guided through enjoyable workouts that target bone, brain, and heart health. You will see that the peri to menopause is a time of your life when your body can thrive!

About

My Story.
My Mission.

I’m Melissa, I’m a women’s fitness & wellness coach based in Bexleyheath. I’m also mum to two boys who are 9 & 7 (that makes me feel really old!). When I’m not training clients or moving myself, I am keen on keeping my brain active by playing boardgames. I also enjoy being outside and listening to metal & rock music.

I’ve been working in the fitness industry on and off since 2009 when I did my ETM (Exercise to Music) qualification to gain some fitness knowledge to teach pole fitness as a hobby alongside an office job.

I had a break from fitness (aside from attending the odd fitness class) to start a family and had virtually forgotten I even had a qualification until 2014 when I discovered a weighted hoop class which helped me get back to a healthy body after having the boys.

I was inspired to share my newfound passion with others and some of you may remember me from my Bee Fun Fitness days. I ran group fitness classes until 2018 gaining lots of experience of working with people and earning further qualifications. But I realised that I wasn’t helping people in the way I really wanted.

This inspired me to take further training in Pregnancy, Post-natal, Peri to Post Menopause fitness & wellness, TRX, ViPR and Procedos.

I have learned to focus on helping people move well and be strong enough for their day to day activities (like running after & picking up kids!) and eat to nourish their body rather than focus on quick fixes or crash diets that do not work. This I find is a much healthier and rewarding approach, fat loss is nice bonus that comes from all of that.

I love showing women how to move their body in safe and effective ways using a variety of different kit to make sessions fun and interesting.
